Who we are
Lucy Anne’s is more than a name — it’s a story, a legacy, and a dream carried forward. We created this project in honor of our baby girl, Lucy Anne, whom we lost far too soon. Her name comes from both of our grandmothers, women whose kitchens were filled with love, resilience, and recipes that shaped our lives.
What we’re building here in The Upstate is a continuation of that love — a modern take on grandma’s kitchen. A place (and a journey) where Southern traditions meet Italian soul, where stories are shared, and where community is always at the table.
Our ethos is simple:
Good food — thoughtfully sourced, lovingly prepared.
Good people — because a table is nothing without community.
Good times — moments to feel at home, to celebrate, and to connect.
About the Chef
Born and raised in Upstate New York, Chef Michael Rednak’s earliest memories are rooted in the kitchens of his family where food was the language of love. Those moments shaped not only his palate, but his purpose: to cook with heart, honesty, and a sense of home.
After years of honing his craft in the Northeast, Michael moved south, where he discovered the warmth, ingredients, and spirit of Southern hospitality. The South reshaped his cooking — blending his Italian roots with the soulful, ingredient-driven traditions of Southern cuisine.
That union of North and South — humble, heartfelt, and deeply flavorful — became the foundation of Lucy Anne’s: a modern take on grandma’s kitchen. Through every dish, Chef Michael shares his story — one that celebrates heritage, resilience, and community.
For him, it’s simple:
Cook with love.
Honor where you come from.
Feed people like family.
